Good Questions from AT Chicago

Over at AT Chi-town, reader LKCHI is trying to figure out what to do to hide her cable box. Because her fancy, new flat screen is mounted on the wall she can't just tuck her box behind it...

AT readers have suggested to LKCHI to mount a floating shelf or credenza to tuck her cable box into, but do you Unplggd readers have a better solution for LKCHI?

Our suggestion would be to put a credenza or long shelf underneath the TV and then, if the box gets its signal from the remote via radio-frequency rather than infra red, find a beautiful storage box, such as the two below from Kate's Paperie, that the cable box can fit in and cut out holes in the back to thread cords through. Then you can place the pretty storage box on the credenza or shelf and no one will know that it's actually hiding your cable box. A credenza or shelf will also offer you the opportunity to display fresh cut flowers or cute artwork below your TV.
